Ashley Groundworks installed a haul road for access to wire repair.
The 1km haul road ran through a conservation site, so it was necessary to deal with The Environment Agency to sensitively manage parts of the site that could not be disturbed by heavy machinery.
Our work consisted of the following:
- Site set up ready for works
- Excavate and set aside excavated materials
- Lay geotextile to surface
- Import clean stone
- Level and compact
We completed the work on time and to budget, ready for the next stage of development. The skill of our machine drivers played a major part in this being achieved to the satisfaction of the agency and its consultants.
