Ashley Groundworks undertook the groundworks and civils package to complete the new Dorking Wanderers FC grounds and their stadium, Meadowbank. We were responsible for the set out and set up of the site, which took place on land, set aside by Mole Valley District Council.
Our contract package included:
- Pile foundation ground beams
- Concrete floors
- Foul and storm water drainage
- External finish and carparks
There were various hazards to overcome, so we liaised closely with the clients, adapting our work around a number of time constraints because of football fixtures.
With many trades people on site, there was an urgent need to keep pathways and access routes open. Ashley Groundworks proactively offered solutions to the many problems that arose whilst the work was being undertaken. We used various partners to assist with completion, to ensure all hazards were taken care of under strict conditions, including the use of various earth moving machines requiring the specialist skills of our staff.
Dorking Wanderers FC are now playing football fixtures on the new grounds and the fans are enjoying the new stand and play area. Ashley Groundworks had a significant part to play in this and we’re proud of this achievement.
